Banff National Park, Alberta As I photographed this scene in the pre-dawn tranquility, a group of four drunk Brits came marching and singing down the road. I suspect they started drinking during the previous day's World Cup match. One of them, against the counsel of his friends, decided to jump into the cold mountain lake. This, according to his own report, caused considerable discomfort to his bollocks. More upsetting to me was the disturbance to the placid surface of the lake. - Private Island

Kootenay National Park British Columbia, Canada This is a 100 MP panorama stitched from Tamron 70-200 f/2.8 images. Why? Because I dutifully packed up my wide-angle lenses for the hike... and then 2 miles in, I realized that I left the pack in the car. - One Shot #5 | US 219
