The Conemaugh Gap of the Conemaugh River in Cambria County, Pennsylvania, is the deepest gorge east of the Mississippi, at 1,350 feet deep. - Cairn, Jonathan Run

- Waterfall, Jonathan Run
The descent from the Jonathan Run trail to the waterfall was fairly difficult; I used my tripod a lot, and sometimes my hands, to get down the slope. Getting back up was even more challenging. I pulled myself up the muddy slopes, using the rhododendrons as handles. Once I got to the top, my wife (who was waiting on the trail) let me know that I came back up by a different, and steeper, path than I had descended. - Solitude

Banff National Park, Alberta - Conemaugh Viaduct - Fall Colors
The original 1833 single-arch Conemaugh Viaduct was destroyed in the Johnstown Flood of 1889. During the flood, debris built up behind the viaduct, holding back the water. When the viaduct suddenly failed, the water was released in a powerful burst that destroyed the nearby town of Mineral Point, and then Johnstown itself. This double-arched replacement was built in the 1890s to replace the destroyed viaduct, and today it carries Norfolk Southern's Pittsburgh Line, the successor to the Pennsylvania Railroad Main Line. - Getting the Shot
